Remembrance Day Event @ LINC’s Kenton Learning Centre

Remebrance FB PostEvery year, Toronto District School Board’s Language Instruction for Newcomers to Canada (LINC) program invites WWII Veterans and survivors as guest speakers.  This year the event was hosted the Kenton Learning Centre on November 7, 2017.

Mr. Martin Maxwell, Mrs. Faigie Lipman,
Mr. Mort Lightstone, and Mr. Kamal Sethi spoke to our learners sharing their stories, experiences, and sacrifices.  This event allows newcomer Canadians the opportunity to engage with veterans and survivors while learning about Canadian history.  Heart felt stories lead to engaging conversations and questions.  This is one of many yearly events organised by LINC for newcomer Canadians.

We thank WWII Veterans and Survivors for their time in teaching new Canadians the significance of Remembrance Day. Now, they too shall Never Forget.
