Both job seekers and employers benefit greatly from using a variety social media tools such as LinkedIn or Pinterest, to name a few.
According to Jobvite’s Recruiter Nation Survey (2015), “Companies are adjusting to new areas of focus and re-prioritizing their budgets. Recruiters plan to spend 50% more on Social Media than ever before.” LinkedIn is currently the largest social media platform for recruitment and job search, boasting over 500 million users worldwide (source: LinkedIn.com).
With employers paying more attention and shifting their hiring budgets to social media, can you afford to not be a player in Social Media? Can you afford to not engage the right target audiences and to attract interest by those who matter? Simply put, you can’t! Having Social Media links and a positive on-line presence are now ranked higher than ever before.
